Job Description
Seasonal Server — Old Smith Farm Falmouth, ME | Wednesday-Saturday | Immediate Start This is a seasonal position through mid-to-late October. We are also part of a larger restaurant group, so strong seasonal employees may have opportunities to move into other year-round positions after the season ends. Work the rest of the Maine season somewhere special. Old Smith Farm is a farm-to-table restaurant and event venue just 10 miles from downtown Portland, with live music, outdoor activities, wood-fired cooking, and a beautiful barn setting that feels much farther from the city than it is. $7.55 per hour plus tips. Employees will receive at least the applicable minimum wage when direct wages and tips are combined. Employees in this position typically earn $20 or more per hour in total, including tips. Actual earnings vary by shift, customer volume, and tips received. Farm-to-table menu with wood-fired pizza, seafood, local produce, and seasonal dishes Opportunity to build experience within a larger restaurant group Potential path to another seasonal or permanent position after Old Smith Farm closes for the season Employee Discount Flexible Schedule Seasonal Server Qualifications Previous full-service restaurant experience Available Wednesday through Saturday; to start as soon as possible Presentable and comfortable working in a high-volume environment Comfortable learning a seasonal menu and speaking confidently about food and beverages Able to provide warm, attentive service while managing multiple tables and priorities Experience in farm-to-table, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurants is a plus Genuine interest in food, hospitality, and creating a memorable guest experience Old Smith Farm is the kind of place guests make a destination out of — and we're looking for someone who wants to help us finish the season strong.
