RiverWoods Durham, a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Durham, NH, is seeking a Full-Time Server to provide warm, resident-centered dining service. In this role, you'll take and deliver meal orders, support special and modified diets, and help create a clean, welcoming dining room for older adults across independent and assisted living, memory support, and nursing care. You'll collaborate closely with culinary and clinical teams, follow strict food safety and infection-control standards, and build meaningful relationships with residents in a mission-driven, team-focused environment that values wellness, dignity, and respect. Responsibilities Provide warm, attentive table service to residents and guests in our healthcare-focused senior living community Accurately take, enter, and deliver food and beverage orders according to dietary needs and preferences Maintain knowledge of menus, specials, and modified diets to support resident wellness Set, bus, and reset dining room tables, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment Collaborate with nursing, culinary, and resident services staff to support person-centered care Follow sanitation, safety, and infection-control standards in all food service areas Assist with room-service style meal delivery when needed Ensure respectful, dignified interactions that support residents' independence and comfort Handle basic payment or check procedures as required Participate in training and meetings to support continuous service improvement Required Skills Table service Point-of-sale (POS) operation Food safety and sanitation Knowledge of special/modified diets Tray and room-service delivery Cash handling basics Infection control awareness Dining room setup and bussing Communication with older adults Team collaboration
