JOB DESCRIPTION

The Oak Room, at the Rockport Harbor Hotel, offers a delicious breakfast menu combined with the most remarkable views of Rockport Harbor and Penobscot Bay. The menu showcases both savory and sweet breakfast entrees that are popular with both our local clientele as well as hotel guests. Servers ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service, including accurately taking orders, understanding menu items and food preparation techniques, serving/clearing food and drinks, and accurately processing and collecting payment. Come join our growing hospitality family! Be inspired, be recognized, be rewarded. This position is paid a tipped credit hourly wage plus tips. Ability to work Saturdays & Sundays is a must. Shift is from 6am to 1pm weekdays and 8am -3pm on weekends. Schedule would be approximately 5 shifts per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Operations Manager and/or General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Provide excellent customer services Greet customers and present menus Make suggestions based on their preferences Take and serve food/drinks orders Up-sell when appropriate Arrange table settings Keep tables clean and tidy at all times Deliver checks and collect payments Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines Interacts with the restaurant's guests, fellow team members and managers in a positive, confident, outgoing and courteous manner to ensure all staff and guests have an exemplary experience; Has full knowledge of all menu items; Uses Lightspeed Restaurant POS to enter orders and process transactions; Serves beverage and food to guests using Rockport Harbor Hotel's standards for hospitality service; Performs end of service procedures and closing duties;
