Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes, drinks, and specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct processing of sales transactions. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Maintain guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items (including wine knowledge), and resolving any concerns promptly. Support sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables efficiently, and ensuring a clean dining environment at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy hours at restaurants or nightclubs. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in fast-paced settings while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Experience Previous food service experience in restaurants or nightlife venues such as nightclubs or bars is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is essential for processing sales accurately. Experience with fine dining service or cocktail experience enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service, and food safety standards is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions. Experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bussing contributes to a well-rounded skill set for this position.
