Ensure food and beverages are delivered in a timely manner and according to guest requests. Have full knowledge of the frequently changing menus including ingredients and how they are prepared. Perform all required or necessary side work during the shift as well as any opening or closing duties as scheduled. Readily assist co-workers when the need is apparent, including assisting with clearing, serving, resetting tables or stocking. Monitor member and guest experiences and adjust accordingly. Other duties as assigned or apparent. Sales and Financial Up-sell food and drink specials as well as appetizers and desserts. Offer suggestions and recommendations, such as wine pairings or other side items. Promote all upcoming events throughout the club. Operations and Compliance Communicate any special food orders to kitchen staff and ensure orders are prepared to the guests expectations. Verify ages of customers who order alcohol. Monitor alcohol consumption. Attend all new menu tastings and department meetings. Ensure all areas are kept clean and in compliance with state and federal health department rules and regulations. Follow safe food handling regulations. Physical Requirements While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. There is a potential for exposure to fumes from related equipment, airborne particles such as dust, toxic or caustic substances such as cleaning/maintenance supplies, and varying outside weather/temperature conditions.
