Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using systems like OpenTable or similar POS (Point of Sale) software such as Micros or Aloha POS. Provide menus, answer questions about food and beverage options, including wine and spirits knowledge, and recommend specials or upsell items to enhance guest experience. Take accurate food and drink orders, processing sales transactions smoothly with POS systems while handling cash or credit payments responsibly. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits. Support host/hostess duties by managing waitlists, coordinating seating flow during busy hours, and providing excellent customer service from arrival to departure. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; no experience needed. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately; familiarity with cash handling procedures required. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
