South+Pine American Eatery is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and create a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves welcoming customers, explaining menu options, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service. Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and available options. Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system. Communicate special requests and dietary needs clearly to kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately. Check on guests during their meals and respond to reasonable requests. Coordinate with kitchen staff and other servers to maintain smooth service. Process guest bills and payments according to restaurant procedures. Clear and reset tables between guests as needed. Keep dining areas and service stations clean, organized, and properly stocked. Address routine customer concerns professionally and notify a supervisor when necessary. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures. Assist with opening, closing, and other daily service duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant, server, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly and professional approach to guest service. Strong communication, listening, and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Able to remain organized while serving multiple tables. Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. Willingness to learn menu items, POS systems, and service standards.
