We are looking for people who do more than simply take orders. The right candidate welcomes guests with genuine enthusiasm, confidently explains the menu, makes thoughtful recommendations and looks for opportunities to create a better dining experience. This is a hands-on position. Servers are expected to help prepare and maintain the dining room, clear and reset tables, complete side work and support other front-of-house responsibilities when needed. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly, confidently and enthusiastically. Provide attentive and professional service throughout the dining experience. Learn the food, cocktail and wine menus, including ingredients and common allergens. Explain menu items and make personalized recommendations. Naturally recommend appetizers, beverages, wine, desserts and other additions that enhance the guest experience. Enter orders accurately and confirm modifications, allergies and special requests. Serve food, cocktails and wine according to restaurant standards. Open and pour wine, or complete training to learn quickly. Prepare the dining room before opening, including cleaning and setting tables. Clear, clean and reset tables promptly. Complete opening, closing and side-work duties, including folding napkins and organizing service stations. Assist with hosting, food running, bussing and other front-of-house responsibilities when needed. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant during slower periods. Occasionally assist with creating simple social-media content. Appearing on camera is not required. Identify possible solutions when problems arise and involve management when approval or additional support is needed. Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is required. Previous serving experience is strongly preferred, but exceptional candidates with hosting, food-running or other customer-service experience will be considered. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Fluent English is required. Portuguese or Spanish as a second language is a strong plus. Ability to move quickly and stay organized during busy service. Ability and willingness to carry serving trays safely. Willingness to learn the complete menu and wine selection. Ability to receive feedback, follow established standards and correct mistakes. Reliable attendance and consistent availability. Availability for a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends. Professional communication, teamwork and respect for restaurant standards. What We Offer A consistent schedule of approximately 35-40 hours per week.
