Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all food and beverage orders are delivered accurately and promptly. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Present menus, explain daily specials, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Ensure timely delivery of orders to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and adhering to sanitation standards. Process payments accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for checks. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant roles, with fine dining experience preferred. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction. Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, OpenTable, or similar systems is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for accurate cashiering and check processing. Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a plus, enhancing communication with kitchen staff. Previous experience as a host/host or in guest services is beneficial for this role.
