Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials to enhance guest satisfaction. Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences. Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy hours. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee a positive dining experience. Experience Prior restaurant or food service experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus. Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and sales techniques like upselling. Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and basic math for cash handling and cashiering tasks. Strong time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous host/hostess or serving experience in hospitality or food industry settings is advantageous.
