Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a positive attitude. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional items like wine or cocktails. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Provide expert knowledge on menu items, including wine selections, spirits, cocktails, and food ingredients to enhance guest experience. Foster guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling sales transactions smoothly. Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Food handling certification and understanding of sanitation practices to ensure food safety compliance.
