Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted. Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items including drinks and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash transactions, credit card payments, and handle POS transactions smoothly and accurately. Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, and cocktail recipes to assist guests effectively. Clear tables promptly, bus tables as needed, and ensure cleanliness in compliance with sanitation standards. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when necessary to ensure timely service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on guest satisfaction. Qualifications Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Proven ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper handling of food and beverages. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and strong guest relations abilities. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately; cash handling experience is required.
