Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Food Runner and busser, where you'll be the vital link between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience. You will be responsible for delivering food promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall flow of service to delight our guests and uphold our high standards of food safety and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Deliver hot and cold food orders from the kitchen to tables efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist with food preparation tasks, including plating and garnishing, following proper food handling and safety protocols. Clear tables by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly to maintain a clean dining area. Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness in service areas through regular cleaning duties, including wiping down surfaces and sanitizing workstations. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to coordinate timely service and address any special requests or concerns. Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required, ensuring smooth transactions. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic food preparation techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physical stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout shifts. Strong communication skills with an energetic approach to guest service. Experience with bussing, cleaning, and supporting banquet or large event setups is a plus. Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
