•Nederland, TX Position Overview 10 De Mayo Mexican Grill is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to join our team at our Nederland location. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, providing excellent hospitality, and creating a welcoming dining experience for every guest. As a server, you will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly customer service.
Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Serve food and drinks promptly and ensure orders are accurate.
Check on guests throughout their meals to ensure satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow team members.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables and dining areas.
Process customer payments accurately and handle cash and credit card transactions.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards.
Assist with opening, closing, and other restaurant duties as needed.
Work as part of a team to provide a positive dining experience for every guest.
Qualifications
Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Friendly, positive attitude and professional appearance.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry food trays.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Must meet applicable age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages, if applicable.
