Job Description
Christie Clinic's department of Infusion Center in Bloomington on Empire is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) RN Specialist between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the provision of professional office based nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
JOB DUTIES
(This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider. Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient. Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider. Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc. Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education. Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment. Administer IV's for Chemotherapy and/or Phlebotomy. Perform related work as directed, by coordinator and as required. Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit. Maintain relevant IV supplies, medications, and office supplies for department effectiveness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursing Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU's Proficient IV skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional nursing experience Acute care experience
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
Possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse License CPR Certification ACLS certification
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances and bodily fluids. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
