Overview We're looking for an experienced Benefits Program Specialist to join our Human Resources team! In this role, you'll oversee the administration of comprehensive employee benefits and leave programs while helping shape an exceptional employee experience. You'll serve as the subject matter expert on benefits, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliance, improve programs, and support employees throughout their careers. If you're passionate about employee benefits, compliance, and creating impactful HR programs, we'd love to hear from you Duties Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits. Manage employee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and state-specific leave programs while ensuring legal compliance. Coordinate retirement plans including pension and 401(k) administration, enrollments, vendor communication, pension payments, and required reporting. Lead and support the annual Open Enrollment process, including vendor coordination, employee communications, and issue resolution. Maintain benefit plan documentation, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), ACA reporting, Form 5500 filings, and other compliance documentation. Analyze benefits utilization, participation, costs, and trends to identify opportunities for program improvements. Prepare reports and recommendations for HR leadership using benefits data and analytics. Conduct benefits audits and ensure HRIS and vendor data accuracy. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee benefits and leave questions. Build strong relationships with benefit vendors to ensure high-quality service and program performance. Conduct new hire benefits orientations and employee education sessions. Provide one-on-one retirement planning and pension consultations. Stay current on federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, and FMLA. Support continuous improvement initiatives and help enhance the employee benefits experience. Requirements 5-7 years of progressive experience in Benefits Administration. Strong experience administering employee benefit programs and leave management. Experience with compliance audits and benefits vendor management. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
