Job Description

Markquart is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our administrative team as a Personnel & Benefits Administrator . The right candidate will be highly organized, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to coordinate employee paperwork, benefits, and employment-related administrative processes across multiple locations.

PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Personnel & Benefits Administrator, you will help keep important employee processes organized, accurate, and moving forward. Some of your primary responsibilities include: New Hire Administration
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, required notices, benefit information, and onboarding-related administrative items. Benefits Administration
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes, coordinate payroll deductions with office managers, process benefit terminations, and serve as a primary administrative contact for benefit providers. 401(k) Administration
  • Notify employees of eligibility, distribute enrollment information, and facilitate employee enrollments and waivers. Employee Records & Reporting
  • Maintain employee census information and assist with reporting for workers' compensation, health insurance, 401(k), ACA, OSHA, and other employment-related requirements. Workers' Compensation
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims, documentation, and communication with employees, managers, and the insurance carrier. Leave & Accommodation Administration
  • Coordinate documentation and administrative processes related to employee leaves, ADA accommodations, Minnesota Paid Leave, and other applicable programs. Compliance & Audits
  • Assist with employee-related audits, annual notices, ESST requirements, quarterly OSHA reporting, ACA reporting, and other required employment documentation. Recruiting Administration
  • Create and maintain job postings and coordinate candidate background checks. Employee Support
  • Serve as a helpful point of contact for employees and managers regarding benefit, paperwork, and personnel administration questions, escalating matters when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who will be successful in this position should have: 2+ years of professional administrative experience preferably involving benefits, payroll, insurance, personnel administration Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue Strong follow-through and ability to keep ongoing tasks and documentation organized Professional and approachable communication style when working with employees, managers, and outside vendors This is a full-time, in-person position.
