Position Overview Pupil Benefits Plan, Inc. is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to serve as Assistant Director. This leadership position supports the Executive Director in overseeing daily operations, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional service to participating school districts. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and management of all company operations
- Support and strengthen relationships with participating school districts, BOCES, and key stakeholders
- Serve as a primary point of contact for district representatives, ensuring responsive and high-quality service
- Oversee and help manage claims processes and customer service functions
- Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and organizational growth
- Foster strong relationships with current subscribers to support retention and satisfaction
- Engage in outreach to prospective school districts through professional networks, meetings, and conferences
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and school district events to build trust and awareness of services
- Collaborate on the development of communications and materials that clearly convey program value and responsiveness
- Ensure compliance with New York State insurance laws and regulations
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, vendors, and consultants
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff as needed Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Working knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably student accident insurance
- Familiarity with New York State school districts and their operational structure
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience in educational, insurance, or public sector environments preferred
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
