Senior Work Comp Compliance Consultant General Placement Service - United States General Placement Service is partnering with a leading insurance organization to identify an experienced Workers' Compensation Compliance professional for a highly visible role within a growing business. Our client is making Workers' Compensation a significantly larger part of its national growth strategy within a specialized market niche. As that business scales, they are looking for someone to take ownership of and help transform the Workers' Compensation compliance function. This is not simply a bureau reporting position. This individual will have enterprise-wide visibility and influence across the Workers' Compensation product line, serving as a subject-matter expert and strategic advisor to Underwriting, Claims, Premium Audit, Actuarial, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance and other business partners. The successful candidate will understand Workers' Compensation from both a regulatory and operational perspective. They will be comfortable digging into WC data, identifying issues and trends, interpreting complex regulatory requirements, and translating those requirements into practical guidance for the business. As additional business units incorporate Workers' Compensation into their product offerings, this person will become a key internal resource helping the organization understand not only what the regulatory requirements are, but what they mean for the business and how they should be implemented. We are looking for candidates with:
Approximately 7-10 years of Workers' Compensation product compliance experience
Strong knowledge of NCCI requirements and experience working with independent state rating bureaus
Broad understanding of Workers' Compensation regulatory and operational requirements
Experience with areas such as statistical and bureau reporting, classifications, experience rating, proof of coverage, regulatory change and data quality

A track record of partnering across business functions and serving as a trusted subject-matter expert
The communication skills and business judgment to influence stakeholders throughout an organization The opportunity may eventually expand beyond Workers' Compensation to include oversight or advisory responsibilities for additional product lines.
For someone who understands the complexities of Workers' Compensation and wants an opportunity to help shape and scale a growing WC operation rather than simply maintain an existing compliance process, this is a particularly compelling opportunity. Compensation $140,000 - $150,000
