Senior Account Manager Job Summary With steady growth driven by client trust and demand, we're expanding our team to keep delivering at a high level, which is why we are looking to add a Senior Account Manager to our team. The Sr. Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a block of accounts that includes small to large, multi-state, multi-site clients held by a senior member of our leadership team. They will work closely with benefits consultants, Account Executives, internal service teams and other account managers to meet and exceed client expectations. The right person for this position will enjoy partnering with others and knows that strong relationships and open communication yield great results. Works closely with Benefits Consultants and prepares and coordinates the renewal.
Markets the Annual benefits renewal to the applicable carriers.
Develops employee communication and enrollment materials for client distribution.
Assists with the carrier installation process, i.e., collect, track and scrub all applications, build enrollment census and audit all member enrollments.
Understands, interprets, and clearly delivers claims experience reporting and data to clients, when appropriate.
Reviews the market results and enters data into the renewal presentation.
Oversees client's benefits accounts, including but not limited to, new development, internal and external communication, support and maintenance issues.
Understands client business, issues, and needs through proactive face-to-face (when appropriate) client visits and phone contact to maintain a positive relationship.
Provides support and assistance, when needed, to other Account Managers on larger projects.
Acts as escalation point for resolution of non-routine issues. Identifies root cause and communicates resolution to client.
Other duties/projects/tasks as requested Required Skills and Experience
3-5+ years of experience being an Account Manager on a block of business in the Employee Benefits Industry that includes small to large, multi-state, multi-site clients
Thorough knowledge of financing methodologies and strategies (fully insured, alternate funded)
Current Life and Health Insurance License is required
Expert level navigation skills in MS Excel including formulas, pivot tables and v/x-lookups including computer proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to independently learn, navigate and problem solve within new technology systems (like HRIS) from the client sometimes with minimal training.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships at all levels of an organization
Experience with leading or participating in on-site client meetings to develop cross-sale opportunities and to maximize retention.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for facilitating and presenting
Organized with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously and adapt to changes quickly based on client needs.
Customer/Client focused
Bachelor's degree preferred but High School Diploma required
Consistently represent Creative Benefits, Inc.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Has knowledge of the Ancillary insurance products including Group Life and AD&D insurance, disability and voluntary benefits
Previous experience working with large, multi-state, multi-site clients.
Experience working with HRIS systems or Payroll systems.
Experience analyzing claims and financial data sets.
Supervisory Responsibility This position is an individual contributor and not responsible for the supervision of other employees. Work Environment Creative Benefits, Inc. offers a hybrid schedule of working 2 days remote and 3 days in the office. Our employees enjoy the flexibility that comes with remote work while also valuing the connectivity that is achieved through in-person collaboration. A training/onboarding period may require daily time onsite. Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Travel to clients occurs occasionally. Travel is primarily local during the business day. On rare occasions, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Mileage is reimbursed. On occasion, travel between offices for the workday may be expected for expanded learning opportunities, collaboration and in-person meetings. To ensure the timely delivery of client material, travel to the post office/store for supplies/etc. may be necessary.
