This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. This is a position specific recruitment. This is a Temporary position, which offers some state paid benefits.

Nature of Work:

The Equal Opportunity Officer (EEO) will assist the Equal Opportunity Manager with the agency's duties related to Equal Employment Opportunity Programs (Title VII, Bullying in the Workplace, and Americans with Disabilities Act). The main purpose of this position is to assist and manage all reasonable accommodation requests, as well as assist with complaints of discrimination, harassment, bullying and retaliation. Qualifications Education:

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience ensuring adherence to fair practice standards or evaluating a business or public entity for compliance with federal, state, or municipal laws and regulations.

Selective Qualification:

Two (2) years of the required experience must have involved investigating and tracking complaints of discrimination and/or harassment.

Selective qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skill or abilities).

Notes:

1. U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as defined under the minimum qualifications may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-for-year basis. Licenses & Certifications Candidate must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
