Position Overview We are seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Human Resources Generalist to manage and support day-to-day HR functions across multiple affiliated companies under the same ownership . This position will work closely with ownership, the Managing Director, managers, and employees across the different companies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, keeping HR processes organized, and providing consistent HR support across various businesses. Key Responsibilities Provide HR support for multiple affiliated companies under the same ownership. Review and manage employee timecards, hours, attendance, PTO, sick time, and timekeeping records. Assist with payroll preparation and verify employee hours, corrections, deductions, and employee changes. Manage recruiting, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication. Coordinate the full new-hire onboarding process and required paperwork. Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files and HR records. Complete and maintain I-9, E-Verify, and other employment documentation. Prepare offer letters, employee notices, disciplinary documentation, and HR correspondence. Assist employees with benefits enrollment and general benefits questions. Support managers with attendance, employee relations, performance concerns, and proper documentation. Process and track new hires, terminations, pay changes, position changes, leaves of absence, and other employee updates. Coordinate employee offboarding and termination documentation. Respond to employee HR questions and escalate more complex matters to management when appropriate. Help maintain consistent HR policies, procedures, and documentation across the different companies. Support California employment compliance and maintain required HR records. Work directly with ownership and management on special HR projects and additional HR needs across their businesses. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, payroll, and company information. Qualifications 2+ years of Human Resources experience preferred. Experience with recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping, payroll support, employee documentation, and general HR administration. Knowledge of California employment practices strongly preferred. ADP or similar HR/payroll system experience is a plus. Strong organizational and follow-through skills. Excellent attention to detail. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable supporting employees and managers across multiple companies. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently. High level of discretion when handling confidential information. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
