Job Description

Job Summary The Payroll Clerk / HR Administrator provides administrative support for payroll and human resources functions within a manufacturing environment. This position will complete accurate and timely payroll processing, employee record maintenance, time and attendance administration, onboarding, benefits and leave documentation, and day-to-day HR support. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process payroll and maintain timekeeping records, including hours worked, overtime, PTO, and payroll changes. Maintain employee data and confidential HR, payroll, benefits, and attendance records within the HRIS. Support onboarding, benefits administration, leave documentation, and other employee lifecycle activities. Assist employees and supervisors with payroll, benefits, attendance, and policy-related questions. Prepare HR and payroll reports, correspondence, and other departmental documentation. Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Previous payroll (minimum of 2 years), human resources, administrative, or manufacturing office experience required. Working knowledge of payroll and timekeeping practices required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers, records, and confidential information. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established payroll and HR deadlines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when handling employee information. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, and other business partners. Ability to identify discrepancies, research information, and follow established procedures to resolve routine payroll and HR issues. Ability to work independently while effectively supporting a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Flint & Walling is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
