$24.27 to 26.47 (Based on Education & Experience)

REPORTS TO
Chief Human Resources Officer Fully benefitted to include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, sick, personal, & vacation days as well as state retirement (PERF).
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the administration and processing of district benefit programs, medical leaves, worker's compensation, and provide support to employees related to their employment benefit needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years' direct human resources administrative experience is required; a minimum of one (1) year experience in Benefits is preferred. Education
a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or another related field preferred. Compliance
knowledge of regulatory areas of Section 125, ACA, H.S.A, COBRA, HIPAA, Workers' Compensation and FMLA highly desired. Customer Service
must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with sensitive information and confidentially across all levels of an organization. Detail oriented and maintains accuracy with a strong sense of urgency while working on multiple tasks simultaneously. Technology
must have advanced skills in use of office computer technology including HRIS, Microsoft Suite and G-Suite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollment in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Handles difficult or emotional situations; ability to empathize; responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; and meets commitments. Provides benefit information and guidance with new-hire onboarding/orientations. Assists employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes. Coordinates the distribution of benefit enrollment materials. Determines eligibility of benefits for employee groups. Administers the processes for Annual Open Enrollment, new hire employee enrollments exiting employee benefits and processing life status changes. Responds to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollment, status changes and other general inquiries. Processes and administers leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence/disabilities. Analyzes, tracks and manages the process of monthly reconciliation for all insurance vendors. Works with multiple vendors to ensure that our benefit programs are managed effectively. Administration of benefits for employees in accordance with ACA and Section 125 requirements. Process, assist and maintain files on employees for health, dental, life, long term disability health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts. Monitors the weekly ACA compliance reports. Complies with all HIPAA requirements, reporting and serves as a resource to help education HIPAA information. Maintain and track COBRA participants and notification of COBRA administrator. Conducts the benefits administration for Board members and retirees. Assists with the reporting of ACA hours to ensure compliance with ACA regulations. Administers 403b enrollments and changes. Completes 403b paperwork for retirees or other prior employees. Processes, reports and tracks workers compensation reports to the Insurance Agent. Serves as a backup for employees related to workers compensation reports and medical needs. Oversees district wellness program. Other reasonable duties assigned by administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation. Job Requirements High School/Trade School degree preferred.
