Job Description

The City of Overbrook, KS is currently recruiting for a Code Administrator​​ position. Located approximately 20 miles southeast of Topeka, northwest of Ottawa and southwest of Lawrence, the City of Overbrook is a community in Osage County with a population of 1,005. The Code Administrator is a part-time position within the Police Department working a maximum of 35 hours per month​​​.
  • Pay $22.50/hour
  • Yearly pay increase based on evaluation score and COLA pay increase​
  • Supplemental insurance benefits 100% paid by employer for employee
  • No residency requirement - 60 minute response time Selection process will include a background investigation and ​interview​​​.
Job duties will include:
  • Identifying ordinance violations within city limits and addressing them in accordance with established procedure.
  • Reviewing building permits as requested.
  • Attending meetings as requested.
  • Reporting non-compliance issues to the police department for citation issuance.
  • Maintaining records of actions taken.
  • Assisting other city departments and personnel with ordinance related issues.
