Human Resources Assistant / Safety & Training Coordinator Everburn Manufacturing is an established manufacturing company located in Lexington, Kentucky. With approximately 180 employees, we manufacture a variety of products for the fireplace and hearth industry. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and hands-on Human Resources Assistant / Safety & Training Coordinator to join our team. This is an important position that combines human resources administration, employee training, workplace safety, and environmental initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, coordinating multiple projects, and spending time on the manufacturing floor. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Onboarding Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, paperwork, and required documentation. Help new team members understand company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations. Coordinate initial job training with department supervisors. Maintain accurate employee training and onboarding records. Assist the HR department with employee communications and other administrative responsibilities. Assist with employee health insurance and benefits enrollment, including new hire enrollment, annual open enrollment, employee communications, and coordination with insurance providers. Workplace Safety & Compliance Help coordinate and maintain the company's workplace safety programs. Conduct regular safety walkthroughs and coordinate safety audits throughout the manufacturing facility. Organize employee safety training and maintain appropriate records. Coordinate fire drills, severe weather drills, and emergency evacuation procedures. Assist with OSHA-related safety documentation, inspections, and corrective-action follow-up. Work closely with supervisors to identify safety concerns and encourage safe working practices. Help maintain a strong safety-conscious culture across the organization. Employee Training & Development Coordinate internal and external employee training programs. Schedule forklift operator training and evaluations, floor-cleaning equipment training, and other specialized equipment training. Work with outside training organizations and service providers. Maintain employee training records, certifications, and renewal schedules. Coordinate with production supervisors to identify additional training opportunities. Qualifications Previous experience in human resources, safety coordination, employee training, or manufacturing administration preferred. Bilingual - English/Spanish required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable interacting with employees, supervisors, and management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to manage several responsibilities simultaneously. Willingness to learn OSHA safety requirements and manufacturing safety practices. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus. Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
