Job Description

A well-established nonprofit organization in Southern New Hampshire is looking to add an HR Coordinator to its growing Human Resources team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional who wants hands-on exposure across the employee lifecycle and the opportunity to work closely with HR leadership. This position is being added due to department growth. You will join a small HR team and help provide day-to-day support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, compliance, training, and general HR operations.
Responsibilities:
Support recruitment, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and hiring documentation Coordinate pre-employment background checks and required compliance documentation Assist with new-hire onboarding, orientation, employment paperwork, system access, and personnel files Maintain accurate electronic and physical employee records Track employee training, certifications, and annual compliance requirements Maintain HR tracking systems, calendars, and compliance records Assist with benefits administration and enrollment Respond to routine HR questions from employees and managers Assist with HR reporting, audits, and administrative projects Support the HR Director and HR department with day-to-day operations Handle confidential employee and organizational information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications:
1-4+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, administration, or a related field Bachelor's or Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong computer skills and ability to learn new HR systems Payroll experience is a plus Knowledge of New Hampshire employment laws is preferred Nonprofit experience is highly preferred Strong customer-service mindset and willingness to learn Why Consider This Opportunity? Pay:
$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
