Inter-Con Security Systems is hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Portland, ME . We are seeking a dependable security professional who can maintain a strong security presence, protect people and property, and respond appropriately to security concerns and emergencies. Qualified new hires are eligible for a $750 sign-on bonus. Bonus eligibility and payment terms apply.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must:

Be at least 21 years of age Have a High School Diploma or GED Have a valid Driver's License Meet applicable Maine licensing and certification requirements for armed security work Have or be able to obtain required First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications within the required timeframe Have reliable transportation Be able to successfully complete a background investigation, drug screening, and driving record review Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing Have basic computer skills Be comfortable using radios, cell phones, and other communication equipment Be physically capable of performing assigned security duties What You'll Do As an Armed Security Officer, responsibilities may include: Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence Conduct interior, exterior, and parking-area patrols Monitor secured areas for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, safety concerns, or property damage Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and vehicles Inspect persons and vehicles entering or exiting secured areas as required Maintain visitor, vehicle, and security logs Monitor and respond to alarms and security communications Identify and report unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions Respond appropriately to trespassing, unauthorized activity, and security incidents Follow established post orders and emergency procedures Notify appropriate personnel or agencies when required Complete accurate and timely security reports Assist with fire, emergency, and evacuation procedures Maintain required communication and check-in procedures Physical Requirements This position may require: Standing and walking for extended periods Regular interior and exterior patrols Climbing stairs or ladders Lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds Running short distances Performing physical security duties during emergency situations Pay, Bonus & Benefits $19.75 per hour $750 sign-on bonus for qualified new hires Part-time opportunity Recognition and Reward Programs Training and career development Benefits available to eligible employees Company-provided uniform and equipment Sign-on bonus eligibility, payment schedule, and other terms apply.
