Temporary, Non-Exempt Division Administration Location Onsite Business Unit Administration Grade level 5 This temporary position offers a starting hourly range of $16.98 - $20.38 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Children's Center of Wayne County (TCC) The Children's Center, founded in 1929, provides evidence-based clinical therapy to children who deal with mental, behavioral, emotional, intellectual, and developmental health and educational challenges or may have experienced trauma. Community-Based Partnerships:

We partner with K-12 schools and community organizations that serve children to provide clinical therapy, counseling, psychological services, and psychiatric evaluations, treatment & interventions.

Child Welfare:

In addition to the clinical therapy programs offered, The Children's Center places children in licensed foster homes, and supports them throughout their time in the child welfare system. Child Well-being +

We operate an onsite family success center that promotes child-wellbeing and offers children and youth from all walks of life to access relevant mental health crisis prevention and child abuse and neglect prevention services.

We champion child and youth well-being for those experiencing poverty-related issues, those within the child welfare system, and those in need of evidence-based, clinical therapy. Job SummaryThe Temporary Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department to ensure the efficient operation of HR functions. This position is temporary in nature and is designed to assist with HR projects, recruitment activities, onboarding, employee record maintenance, audits, and general administrative support during periods of increased workload, special projects, or staffing transitions. Job Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred and experience working in Human Services preferred (experience may be substituted for education).
  • 1-2 years of Human Resources experience, strong administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Basic working knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Essential Functions
  • Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Assist with internal and external HR audits.
  • Support credentialing activities, audit readiness efforts, self-audits, and audit participation.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate interview logistics.
  • Collect and process pre-employment documentation, eligibility verification, background checks, and reference checks across multiple systems.
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork.
  • Process and distribute Human Resources mail.
  • Create, maintain, and organize employee personnel files.
  • Prepare and distribute internal communications regarding employee status changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and separations.
  • Process employee changes and enter employment data into the HRIS system.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service to employees and applicants.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Order employee recognition items and departmental supplies as needed.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of Human Resources records and information.
  • Support compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HR Department. Additional Functions
