This HR Coordinator role supports day-to-day HR operations and is based out of our Rosedale, MS, location. Attention to detail and the ability to work with a sense of urgency are key. A Bachelors degree and previous HR-related experience are great; however, we are willing to train the right candidate! Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists with the Talent Acquisition process, including screening resumes, scheduling phone and/or in-person interviews, submitting background/reference checks, etc. Assists with the New Hire Onboarding process, including I-9 verification Assists with Payroll/HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance for HR-related changes such as new hires, benefit deduction changes, employee terminations, employee leaves of absence, internal transfers, etc. Assists with tasks related to processing payrolls (e.g., verifying that all time/time off has been submitted by managers, generating/saving 401k change-related reports from the 401k provider website, etc.) Monitors employee eligibility dates for benefits plans, & provides appropriate benefit documentation/forms to employees in advance of their eligibility date; Reviews benefits information/forms with employees and assists with answering employee questions Assists throughout the renewal and open enrollment process each year (e.g., with coordinating, communications, helping employees complete elections, auditing for election completion, etc.) Assists with Leave of Absence administration, documentation, and recordkeeping Assists employees and managers with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures Regularly provides excellent support to employees and assists with resolving HR-related inquiries/issues and/or partners with the HR team to address inquiries/issues Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs Coordinates training and development initiatives Assists with the performance review process coordination and auditing of all review and goal forms Assists with processing of employee terminations Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected, filed, and stored appropriately Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, holiday parties, summertime employee events, and volunteer events Assists the HR Director with other HR-related projects as needed Assists with phone, email, mail, and in-person correspondence for the HR department (e.g., requests for verification of employment) Makes photocopies; Processes mail, scans, faxes, and/or emails; Files documents into appropriate employee files; and Performs other clerical functions
