In person About the Position We are looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This position will work closely with the HR Director and provide support with a variety of daily HR and administrative responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their Human Resources experience while learning from an experienced team. Opportunities for advancement within the HR department may be available based on performance, experience, and business needs. Responsibilities Assist with payroll processing, including entering PTO and vacation hours and auditing employee timecards. Maintain accurate employee records and information within the HRIS. Assist with employee benefits administration. Monitor performance evaluations and maintain related documentation. Answer employee questions and assist with workplace concerns. Assist with recruitment, including pre-screening applicants and preparing interview materials. Assist with employee onboarding, new-hire paperwork, and orientation. Maintain personnel files and other HR records. Assist the HR Director with employee and management coaching and counseling. Help maintain compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations. Assist with HR projects and other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred 2 years of Human Resources. Administrative, or clerical experience. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Dependable, professional, and reliable. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work regular business hours with some flexibility for special projects or events.
