Help Build an Outstanding Employee Experience Are you passionate about Human Resources and creating a workplace where employees feel welcomed, supported, and engaged? We're looking for a Part-Time Employee Engagement Specialist to support the Human Resources function for our Amherst Hospitality Campus, including Reikart House Hotel, Jazzboline RestaurantBar, and Hyatt Place Buffalo/Amherst . Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, you'll play an important role in the employee experience - from recruiting and onboarding to employee communications, engagement initiatives, HR administration, and payroll support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organized, and making a positive impact on employees throughout every stage of their employment. What You'll Do Support recruiting by posting positions, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with pre-employment activities. Welcome and onboard new employees by coordinating paperwork, orientation materials, and required training. Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture. Help organize occasional employee appreciation events, wellness activities, and team-building opportunities. Create employee communications, newsletters, and announcements. Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Assist with weekly payroll preparation, audits, and employee payroll questions. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on a variety of HR projects and initiatives. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people just as much as they enjoy staying organized. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding employee experience. You may be a great fit if you have: 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, hospitality, office administration, customer service, or a related field. Excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information. Experience with Microsoft Office; HRIS, payroll, or applicant tracking systems are a plus. Hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Schedule Part-Time Approximately 20-30 hours per week Join Our Team At our hospitality campus, we know that exceptional guest experiences begin with exceptional employees. If you're looking for an HR role where you can make a meaningful impact on the employee experience while developing your Human Resources career, we'd love to hear from you.
