Global Packaging Container Company located in Kenosha, WI is seeking an HR Office Coordinator to join our team for our new Steel Plant in Kenosha! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success. Summary The HR/Office Coordinator Provides administrative and human resources support to the organization while helping ensure the efficient day to day operation of the office. This position serves as a key point of contact for employees, supervisors, managers, applicants, visitors, and vendors. The HR/Office Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate hourly employee records, assisting with recruiting and onboarding, coordinating employee communications and HR activities, supporting hourly payroll and type keeping processes, and performing general office administrative duties. Essential Human Resource Functions Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, employment paperwork and other required documentation. Prepare and maintain new hire paperwork and electronic personnel files. Assist employees with routine HR questions and direct more complex matters to the HR manager. Coordinate and administer employee onboarding and orientation. Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper employee files. Maintain employee information in HRIS Payroll and other company systems. Track attendance, vacation, sick/personal time, personal leaves and other employee time off programs. Assist with benefit administration and employee enrollment processes. Assist with payroll preparation by reviewing time keeping records, attendance deductions, and other information as assigned. Assist with employee performance documentation, disciplinary documentation and other HR related paperwork. Prepare employment verification and other routine employment related correspondence. Assist with hourly employee separations, including completion of termination paperwork, collection of company property and exit documentation. Maintain confidentiality of employee information in HR matters. Assist with employee engagement activities, meetings, training, and company events. Help ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and administered consistently. Assist with maintaining required employment and compliance records. Assist with the hourly recruitment and hiring process, including posting job opportunities, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Support workplace safety and training initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and effectively use HRIS payroll, time keeping and other company systems.
Ability to interact professionally with employees at all times. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
