Job Description The Sr. Director of Human Resources - Corporate serves as the strategic HR Business Partner to corporate leaders while providing direct leadership to key HR Centers of Excellence. This leader partners with senior leadership to align talent, organizational structure, and workforce capabilities with business priorities while ensuring HR programs and practices effectively support the organization. This role combines strategic business partnership with functional HR leadership, requiring the ability to understand business needs, influence senior leaders, develop talent, and translate organizational priorities into scalable people strategies and solutions. Responsibilities Corporate HR Business Partnership Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for corporate departments and their leadership teams Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, talent decisions, and organizational change Coach leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, accountability, team performance, and decision-making Partner with leaders to ensure organizational structures, roles, and capabilities support current and future business needs Use workforce data and organizational insights to identify talent risks, capability gaps, and opportunities for improvement Talent and Organizational Effectiveness Lead talent reviews and succession planning for corporate functions, strengthening bench strength for key and critical roles Partner with leaders to identify high-potential talent and create meaningful development and career opportunities Drive strategies that strengthen engagement, collaboration, accountability, and organizational effectiveness Support onboarding and transition planning for new and promoted leaders Guide leaders through organizational growth, restructuring, and other significant business changes HR Centers of Excellence Provide direct leadership and oversight for assigned HR Centers of Excellence, ensuring programs and practices align with business priorities and organizational needs Establish clear strategies, priorities, service expectations, and measures of success for assigned HR functions Develop HR team capability and create clear accountability for execution, responsiveness, and continuous improvement Ensure HR programs are practical, scalable, and effectively implemented across the organization Partner across HR and the business to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve the Team Member experience, and strengthen organizational capability Maintain awareness of evolving HR practices, employment requirements, and industry trends relevant to assigned areas of responsibility Skills and Knowledge Ability to coach, influence, and build credibility with senior leaders, Ability to lead and develop HR teams and Centers of Excellence, Data-driven approach to identifying organizational trends, risks, and opportunities, Experience leading organizational change in a fast-paced, growing environment, Strategic HR business partnership and organizational leadership, Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business priorities into effective people strategies, Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, Strong organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management capabilities, Strong succession planning, leadership development, and performance management expertise Qualifications 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience supporting multi-unit retail operations Strong background in HR business partnership, talent development, and succession planning within high-growth environments Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed field organizations Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred Physical Requirements Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds Location and Travel Requirements On-site in Lenexa, KS Must be able to travel up to 15% Pay Range $160,000.00 - $210,000.00
