Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to join our growing organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being highly engaged in the day-to-day employee experience while also building and improving HR programs, processes, and infrastructure. Paycom software knowledge preferred. In addition to leading core HR functions, this position will support select business operations and financial administration , including client billing for staffing hours, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing support across the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through employee development, performance management, leave administration, and offboarding. This is a highly visible, hands-on position requiring strong judgment, discretion, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance employee needs with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Manage day-to-day HR operations and serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers. Support and strengthen employee engagement, retention, workplace culture, and overall employee experience. Partner with leadership and managers to address employee relations matters and navigate difficult or sensitive conversations. Coach and support managers on performance management, employee concerns, communication, and HR best practices. Manage the full recruiting and hiring process, including job postings, candidate coordination, interviewing support, offers, and hiring documentation. Lead and continuously improve employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Develop, implement, and maintain HR and Operations policies, procedures, and practices. Administer payroll and employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely processing and responding to employee questions. Manage workers' compensation matters and coordinate employee leave administration. Provide guidance and support for performance reviews, employee development, and other talent management activities. Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee records and HR documentation. Ensure HR practices and documentation are consistent with applicable federal and state employment laws and organizational policies. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, workflows, and infrastructure as the organization grows. Develop and implement initiatives designed to improve employee engagement, communication, retention, and workplace culture. Partner with leadership on organizational development and people-related initiatives. Stay current on HR best practices, employment regulations, and emerging workplace trends. Business Operations & Finance Prepare and process client invoices based on staffing hours and contractual requirements. Review staffing hours and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy. Manage accounts receivable activities, including tracking outstanding invoices and following up on past-due balances. Support accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, coordinating payments, and maintaining accurate records. Maintain organized and accurate financial and billing documentation. Assist with reconciliations and resolving billing discrepancies as needed. Partner with leadership and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and payment processing. Identify opportunities to improve billing, invoicing, and administrative workflows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a hands-on HR Manager or HR Generalist leadership role. Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, payroll, leave administration, and HR policies and procedures. Experience coaching managers and handling sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Strong understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws and workplace practices. Experience with invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, or other business/financial administration responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial and employee records. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and operate effectively in a growing organization. High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion. Strong computer skills and ability to learn and work with HR, payroll, accounting, and business management systems. Experience improving HR processes, systems, workflows, and infrastructure is strongly preferred. HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
