Oasis Lake of the Ozarks is a multi-phased new construction entertainment & hospitality destination consisting of a boutique amusement park, indoor water park, hotel resort & conference center, and marina located on Lake of the Ozarks. The property will open in 2027 with the amusement park and marina as Phase One. The amusement park consists of rides, retail, arcade, ticketing, security, parking, and fast casual food and beverage options.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager helps lead and support our organization and is responsible for the development and execution of Human Resource strategies (excluding all hotel operations) to ensure we nurture and grow our most valuable assets to the organization, the Team. In this role you will partner with the park's leadership to ensure that Human Resource duties, responsibilities, and functions provide support for the business and meet our mission, cultural and hospitality goals for all who visit Oasis Lake of the Ozarks. As an inspirational Human Resource professional, you and your team will serve as a critical business partner by developing and executing integrated and inclusive Human Resource Services such as: Team Recruitment and Performance Management, Team Administration and Compliance, Team Benefits, Company Rewards and Recognition Programs, Policy Formulation, Employee Relations, and living out our Mission & Values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Full life cycle hiring; a heavy emphasis. Directs and manages the staffing process by identifying and engaging sources of talent, screening, interviewing, and testing applicants (when applicable) Manage employee relations. Handle both positive and negative actions and terminations; provide counsel to managers on employee matters including hiring, law compliance, performance issues, review process, resignations/terminations Identifies, develops, and facilitates training programs to support the implementation of procedures, policies, and programs sought for the team Lead the development and implementation of company general orientation training for team members and management including safety, harassment, guest service and other applicable requirements Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system and management team Promote knowledge, understanding, and compliance regarding company policy and relevant employment laws through coaching, presentations, and training Develop and execute reward & recognition programs and appreciation events to demonstrate the company's value placed on its team Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations/exit interviews, changes in job classifications, merit increases, tracking vacation, sick and personal time Oversees personnel uniform inventory system, distribution, inventory counts, timely ordering and adequate supply levels Generate and submits annual Human Resource operating department budget; processes Human Resource invoices and expense reports to Accounting timely Administer company benefits including enrolling and terminating benefits, assisting with employee questions/concerns, completing audits, and communicating with the payroll processing company and benefits carriers as needed Collaborates in company payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll is conducted regularly Maintains employee confidence and protects company operations by keeping human resource information highly confidential Participates in internal committees set up throughout the year Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Prior senior leadership experience of 5 or more years
Prior experience within the hospitality or leisure industry, or with large-scale front line hiring
Flexibility with scheduling and an ability to work some evenings, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs during peak times
Confident presentation/public speaking skills
Ability to provide exceptional service when interacting with associates, coworkers and others
Ability and confidence to coach, counsel, mentor, and influence staff, associates, coworkers, and others
Strong computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft Office products
Adaptability to use unique software applications for Human Resource functions
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills as well as ability to multi-task in completing several projects in tangent
Problem solving, able to formulate solutions and properly convey those solutions to leadership and subordinates
Ability to work independently of supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing office/amusement park environment
Must assist in the park operations when/where needed including Manager on Duty program
