Job Description

Director of Human Resources Regional Hospital Lead people strategy for a hospital that's investing in its future — and yours. We're looking for a Director of Human Resources who doesn't just manage HR — who drives it. This is a hands-on leadership role at a regional hospital where your decisions shape the workforce that keeps patient care running: recruitment, retention, culture, compliance, and everything in between. What You'll Own Strategic HR Leadership — Partner directly with the C-suite to align workforce strategy with the hospital's growth and quality goals. Employee Relations — Build a culture where staff want to stay — resolving conflict, coaching managers, and championing engagement. Compliance & Risk — Ensure HR practices meet all federal, state, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements (EEOC, FMLA, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards). Compensation & Benefits — Design competitive, sustainable pay and benefits programs that keep the hospital attractive to top talent. Team Leadership — Manage and develop an HR team that operates like a true business partner to every department. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 in a healthcare setting. SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred. Deep knowledge of healthcare labor law, union dynamics (if applicable), and clinical staffing challenges. A track record of reducing turnover and improving employee engagement scores. The ability to move fast, communicate clearly, and lead through change. Payroll experience is required HRIS experience with Paycor is preferred. Why This Role Regional hospitals don't have room for HR that just processes paperwork.
