About Us Founded in 1950, Travers Aviation Insurance is a family-owned independent insurance agency specializing in aviation, personal, and commercial insurance. With approximately 40 employees, we are looking for an experienced HR professional to support our team and help guide our continued growth. Position Overview We are seeking a personable, organized, and proactive Human Resources & Talent Manager to oversee recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations. This individual will work closely with ownership, management, and our existing administrative team to maintain a positive workplace culture and develop effective HR practices. Key Responsibilities Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Oversee employee relations, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution. Coordinate employee benefits, leave policies, and HR administration. Maintain employee handbooks, personnel records, and regulatory compliance. Develop and coordinate performance reviews and employee development programs. Assist management with compensation, employee retention, and staffing needs. Promote a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture. Qualifications 3-7 years of human resources experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and employee benefits. Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion. Experience in a small to midsize business preferred. HR certification or insurance industry experience is a plus.
