The HR Director provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the YMCA of Centre County's human resources, payroll, benefits, compliance, and organizational support functions. Reporting to the President/CEO, this position partners with senior leadership to strengthen employee relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition, staff development, policy administration, and operational effectiveness. The HR Director helps cultivate a professional, inclusive, mission-driven workplace culture while ensuring accurate, compliant, and consistent HR practices that support employees, supervisors, and the Association's overall community impact.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related HR or administrative leadership experience preferred; YMCA or nonprofit experience strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of HR operations, office systems, and administrative function; comfortable in a fast-paced environment using computers, phones, and other standard office equipment. Demonstrated ability to lead with professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgement while supporting a diverse workforce and community. Maintain a consistent schedule, prioritizing regular accessibility for staff. Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
