QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Earned Bachelors degree in a relevant field and ten years relevant experience, or an earned Masters degree in a relevant field and three years serving in a human resources leadership position. Any qualifying degree must have been conferred by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education. SHRM-CP or HRCI Professional-Level certification or equivalent. Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and other relevant statutes and experience with compliance.
Preferred:
SHRM-SCP or HRCI Senior-Professional-Level certification or equivalent. Practitioner-level knowledge of Title IX in a higher-education context and experience with compliance.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The position will report to the College President for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate an abiding commitment to the colleges mission and champion the AC Way culture, characteristics, and values. Advise the College President, serve on the Executive Council, and contribute to the leadership of the institution. Effectively supervise and lead teammates in the Office of Human Resources as well as oversee the Offices operations, technology resources, and related budgets to provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. Develop strategies, tactics, systems, and processes to attract and retain talent and to anticipate emerging workforce needs of the college. Collaborate with supervisors and leadership to grow the skills and knowledge of the AC team and to identify and nurture future leaders. Develop systems and processes to recognize individual and unit contributions and successes, including meaningful recognition programs. Proactively identify potential challenges related to human resources, seek equitable and effective response options, and collaborate with supervisors to implement solutions. Provide professional development opportunities for managers and supervisors relevant to human resources, and work with Executive Council members to drive accountability for responding to issues and challenges. Ensure the colleges compensation packages are competitive in the labor market, and that internal compensation decisions are appropriate while contributing to the retention of talent. Foster trust and engagement within the AC team and facilitate workplace harmony. Protect both the college and employees by ensuring compliance with relevant laws and ethical practices. Work with the members of the Executive Council and other stakeholders to align people and policies with college goals. Develop relevant organizational performance data in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, and facilitate the use of data to formulate relevant institutional decisions. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by completing all required training, compliance courses, and professional development activities promptly and within established deadlines.
CONTRACT & SALARY
$115,000.00 per year in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identify and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
