Job Description

Location:
Must be located in Appleton, Oshkosh or greater Fox Cities area
Compensation:
$78,726 or more, based on experience
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day Human Resources operations, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, compliance, and policy administration. Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations matters, employment practices, performance concerns, and workplace issues. Oversee compensation programs, including salary administration, market reviews, pay equity analyses, and pay recommendations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, benefits regulations, payroll requirements, and company policies. Maintain and enhance HR policies, procedures, employee handbook content, and leadership resources. Partner with the HRIS & Benefits Analyst to ensure accurate payroll processing, data integrity, reporting, system security, and efficient HR processes. Lead benefits strategy and administration, including vendor relationships, plan renewals, employee communications, leave management, and program enhancements. Conduct investigations, assess workplace concerns, and provide fair, consistent, and well-documented recommendations. Analyze workforce, compensation, and HR metrics to identify trends, mitigate risk, and support organizational decision-making. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HR service delivery, operational efficiency, and employee experience. Collaborate with Organizational Development on onboarding, engagement, retention, workforce planning, and other people-focused initiatives. Partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, legal counsel, auditors, and external agencies to support organizational objectives and compliance efforts. Support organizational change initiatives through effective communication, planning, and implementation. Lead and develop HR team, providing direction, coaching, and support while advancing strategic HR priorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, and policy administration. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour, equal employment opportunity, leave administration, accommodations, payroll, and records management. Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising leaders on performance management, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, corrective action, and separations. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and provide practical recommendations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms. Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally within Wisconsin as needed.
Preferred:
HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR. Experience in healthcare, human services, or another highly regulated environment. Experience with HR analytics, reporting, and workforce metrics. Advanced Excel skills and experience with Paylocity. Experience supporting compensation strategy, benefits programs, and HR process improvement initiatives. #MMAS
