ReadyDig

Senior Human Resources Generalist

Job Description

The Opportunity ReadyDig is a growing heavy equipment dealership supporting agricultural and construction customers across Colorado. We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to serve as our primary day-to-day HR resource—someone who can independently support employees and leaders, strengthen the employee experience, and help protect and build the culture that makes ReadyDig who we are. At ReadyDig, how we show up matters:
TRUST:
Do what you say. Know your job. Own your mistakes.
ATTITUDE
Bring good energy. Help the team. Get it done. The Senior HR Generalist will play an important role in bringing those expectations to life through how we hire, onboard, lead, recognize, develop, coach, and hold people accountable. This is a broad, hands-on opportunity for an HR professional who is ready for greater ownership and comfortable working closely with executive and operational leadership. What You'll Own Serve as a trusted and approachable HR resource for employees and leaders, coaching managers through employee relations, performance, conduct, investigations, corrective action, and employment separations. Model and reinforce ReadyDig's Trust and Attitude expectations through everyday interactions and people decisions—with honesty, competence, ownership, positive attitude, teamwork, urgency, and follow-through. Manage recruiting and onboarding across the organization, evaluating candidates for both role capability and alignment with ReadyDig's culture and expectations. Own benefits and leave administration, including open enrollment, employee support, eligibility changes, COBRA, retirement programs, vendor coordination, and applicable leave requirements. Serve as the primary administrator of Rippling, maintaining accurate employee records, workflows, reporting, policies, job descriptions, and employee lifecycle changes. Coordinate performance management and support managers with goals, feedback, compensation reviews, employee development, recognition, engagement, retention, and key talent initiatives. Maintain employment compliance and consistent HR practices while exercising practical judgment and recognizing when matters require escalation. Coordinate workers' compensation and established workplace safety programs, including OSHA recordkeeping, required reporting, and safety training. What We're Looking For 5-8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with broad HR Generalist responsibilities. Strong employee-relations judgment and experience handling investigations, corrective action, employment separations, and sensitive workplace matters. Working knowledge of employment law, benefits and leave administration, HRIS platforms, and employee data practices. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and appropriately escalate issues. A practical, approachable, solutions-oriented style with the ability to build credibility with frontline employees, managers, and senior leadership. A genuine commitment to culture—someone who builds trust, brings the right attitude, follows through, and helps others do the same. Preferred Experience Experience in heavy equipment, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, field service, skilled trades, or a similar environment. Experience serving as a highly autonomous or primary HR resource in a smaller or mid-sized organization. Workers' compensation and workplace safety experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and/or PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
certification. What Success Looks Like The successful Senior HR Generalist will keep ReadyDig's core HR programs running effectively while becoming a trusted resource to employees, a credible partner to leaders, and an active advocate for our culture. Success means Trust and Attitude are more than words on a page—they are reflected in how people are hired, onboarded, led, recognized, developed, coached, and held accountable
