Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join a dynamic HR team in Connecticut. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who can confidently manage employee relations, HR operations, compliance, onboarding, and HRIS responsibilities while serving as a trusted resource to both employees and leadership. The Senior HR Generalist will play an important role in supporting a positive employee experience, strengthening HR processes, and ensuring policies and practices are applied consistently across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, employee relations matters, and day-to-day HR questions.
  • Partner closely with HR leadership and business leaders on employee relations matters, including gathering information, conducting fact-finding, documenting concerns, and supporting appropriate resolution.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee records and HR data across HRIS platforms, personnel files, reporting tools, and internal documentation.
  • Manage and support onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, including pre-employment requirements, new hire documentation, orientation coordination, employee changes, and offboarding.
  • Support HR compliance initiatives by helping ensure company policies and practices align with applicable employment laws, internal standards, and organizational procedures.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, documentation reviews, and special projects while identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding performance management, workplace concerns, employee communication, and consistent application of company policies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with payroll, recruiting, benefits, and leadership teams to ensure employees receive timely and accurate HR support.
  • Utilize HRIS systems and HR technology to maintain employee information, generate reports, track HR activity, and support ongoing process improvements.
  • Help drive employee engagement and retention initiatives while fostering a professional, responsive, and employee-focused HR environment.
