Job Description

Senior Human Resources Generalist Workplace Modular Systems (Londonderry, NH) & Seconn Fabrication (Waterford, CT) About the Opportunity Workplace Modular Systems and Seconn Fabrication are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide HR support across both organizations. The position will report to the Director of HR at the parent company, Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Co. in Woodbury, MN. This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, creating consistent processes, and serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers. The Senior HR Generalist will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, retention, HR compliance, and the continued development of scalable HR practices. As our organizations continue to grow, this individual will play an important role in strengthening communication, connecting employees with leadership, and fostering a workplace culture built on trust, collaboration, accountability, and shared success. The successful candidate will be visible, approachable, professional, and committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Help establish, document, and maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and best practices that can scale with organizational growth. Manage and support recruitment activities for exempt and nonexempt positions, including preparing job advertisements, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and assisting with candidate selection. Develop relationships with trade schools, workforce partners, job fairs, and other recruiting resources. Coordinate a consistent new-hire onboarding experience, including orientation, required documentation, training follow-up, and employee check-ins. Create and maintain job descriptions, employee files, HR records, and other required documentation. Help establish and administer a consistent annual performance review process, including providing managers with appropriate tools and guidance. Support managers with employee coaching, performance concerns, corrective action, and documentation. Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and culture-building activities. Respond to employee complaints, workplace concerns, and other employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. Build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization and serve as a visible and approachable HR resource. Gather employee feedback, identify workplace concerns, and develop initiatives that support engagement, morale, retention, collaboration, and workplace culture. Help develop career paths, training opportunities, cross-training plans, and employee development resources. Support benefits administration, enrollment, employee changes, and benefit-related questions, including communication with vendors and brokers when needed. Provide onsite and remote HR support to assigned company locations based on business needs and the approved work schedule. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations. Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. What We Are Looking For At least five years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a medium to large size or growing organization. Experience developing and improving HR policies, procedures, and processes. Experience supporting leadership development, employee coaching, or manager training. Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The ability to establish trust and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and organizational leadership. Experience supporting employee engagement and strengthening connections throughout an organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment. A high degree of confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and consistent follow-through. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification. Experience implementing or supporting HR systems or HRIS platforms. Knowledge of Connecticut and New Hampshire employment law. Experience supporting leadership teams in a growing organization. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
