About The Company:

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an entry-level HR professional to join their team and support employee relations and HR compliance initiatives. The Employee Relations Specialist will support employees and managers with workplace concerns, policy questions, performance matters, and general HR compliance. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience in employee relations and employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

Address employee complaints, attendance issues, and performance concerns. Support managers with corrective action and disciplinary matters. Assist with workplace investigations and related documentation. Provide guidance on HR policies and employment regulations. Review employee concerns and collaborate with the HR team on next steps. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Assist with HR audits, compliance projects, SOPs, and policy updates.

Qualifications:

1+ year of HR or employee relations experience preferred. Basic understanding of employment laws and HR practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to use sound judgment and remain objective when handling sensitive matters. Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.

Additional Details:

This is a fully onsite position in Niles, IL. Opportunity to transition from contract to permanent employment. The workload will vary, with some days focused heavily on employee relations and others on compliance and process improvement.
