The HR Generalist assists in the daily functions of U.S. and global operations in the HR Department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Participate in the implementation of HR programs by providing human resources services, which involve benefits and leave programs. Complete personnel transactions and maintain associated records. Comply with routine reporting requirements (i.e., benefits premium remittance report, benefits pivot tables, international active employees, and FMLA status.) Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law. Involvement in special HR projects. Respond to employment-related inquiries from employees. Maintain employee records and HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with recordkeeping requirements Process employee status changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations Coordinate onboarding activities including new hire paperwork, system access, and orientation scheduling Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and communications Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations Maintain HR filing systems and ensure proper document retention Assist with employment verification requests and unemployment claims Support recruitment efforts including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications Coordinate HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of management Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Familiarity with NetSuite Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro Proficiency with the organization's HRIS and applicant tracking system Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to work on multiple tasks and shift gears quickly Ability to prioritize, work independently, and work cooperatively as a team member Passionate about helping others and providing positive outcomes
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a global company HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Physical Requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel as needed Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours) Ability to operate the equipment used for the job Ability to lift 15 pounds at times Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job
