Job Description

A growing non-profit organization in Atkinson, NH is seeking to hire an HR Coordinator to join their team. This is a newly created position due to growth within the HR department and an increased volume of work. The HR Coordinator will support a two-person HR team and assist with recruitment, onboarding, background checks, employee records, training and compliance tracking, benefits administration, and routine HR inquiries. The ideal candidate has previous HR or administrative experience, strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and hiring documentation. Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees. Coordinate and track background checks, employment documentation, and required hiring paperwork. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files. Assist with tracking employee training, certifications, compliance requirements, and renewal dates. Support benefits administration and respond to routine employee questions regarding benefits and HR processes. Serve as a point of contact for routine employee HR inquiries and escalate more complex matters to the HR Director or HR Manager as needed. Assist with HR reporting, audits, and maintaining accurate HR data. Help ensure employee records and HR documentation remain current and compliant with organizational and regulatory requirements. Assist with HR projects and administrative initiatives as the department continues to grow. Provide general administrative support to the HR department and assist with day-to-day departmental operations.
Qualifications:
2+ year of experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Administration, or a related administrative role preferred. Previous experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, or compliance is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with employee records and HR documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service-oriented approach when working with employees. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a small HR team. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. #RJADM45
