This position is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources support to Miners' Colfax Medical Center. This includes but not limited to human resources transactions, payroll, benefits, recruitment and other administrative tasks. How does it get done? The incumbent in this position will make decisions related to management of everyday activities in Human Resources which include: Process compensation and classification personnel action in compliance with State Personnel Board rules and regulations as well as Department of Finance and Administration rules and regulations, and State and Federal statutes and guideline. Administer discipline to employees. Partner with the HR Manager to identify current recruitment business processes that need to be revised/updated. Provide recruitment strategies for the recruitment and retention of staff. Develop recruitment program for the agency. Work with union on related issues, intake, track, process workers comp claims, recruitment of career status employees as well as physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Who are the customers? Patients, miners, residents and staff members. Ideal Candidate Patients, miners, residents and staff members. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in any field and one (1) year of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation and benefits administration, labor relations, investigations, HR-related training experience, and/or occupational analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must successfully pass a background check. Working Conditions Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of sitting and computer use, bending, walking and phone use.
