Job Description

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is primarily responsible for reviewing candidate applications, processing onboarding credentials for new hires, obtaining necessary references and compiling basic credentialing information to determine if the candidate meets specific company and client requirements. In addition to securing valid references upon initial application, the HR Generalist is also responsible for securing updated credentials for employees required to ensure compliance with internal policies, state and federal laws, regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
The HR Generalist must have an Associates or Bachelor's degree, Previous experienced is preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Systematic, detail-oriented and process driven Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with daily "emergencies" Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent computer skills
Duties and Responsibilities:

Send, Receive and review applications and client requirements and contacts candidates for any additional supporting documentation or clarification Reviews applications to ensure the candidates meet basic eligibility requirements Calls supervisors and peers to obtain verbal references for candidates Effectively communicates with all departments to ensure teamwork and efficiency, disseminates out all necessary information to the appropriate departments Responsible for maintaining and tracking of expiration dates for employees of licenses, certificates, annual physicals, PPD/Chest X-rays, insurance, etc and follows up with staff regarding expiring documents to ensure compliance Conducts all professional background investigations related to the credentialing of staff such as license verification, professional reference checks, Chauncy Registry, OMIG, OIG, SAM, Sex Offender Registry and other required queries Records and files all incoming correspondence and documents gathered for the credentialing of staff Creation of HR Templates for company wide use Performs audits regarding compliance for all documents required for new applicants and current staff Assists in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the credentialing systems and other HR functions Work with company staff on Scheduling Optimizer and issues through company platform. Help facilitate all transfers, status changes and secondary positions for staffing as needed. Upload Weekly and send Monthly K-Check Reports Oversee and monitor work performance of Agency Credentialist Coordination with Schools for Internship for fieldwork Performs other duties as assigned.
