About Us. Turabify is the operating and systems layer behind two mission-driven organizations: Franklin Dental Care & Dentures, the only Medicaid dental provider within a 30-mile radius, and Bright Smiles Community Outreach Coalition, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on public oral health education. One HR function supports all three, so this role touches recruitment, compliance, onboarding, and employee relations across a high-volume clinical practice and a nonprofit outreach arm alike. The Reality of This Role. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Franklin Dental Care carries patient volume and financial pressure that most dental practices never have to manage, and our HR function runs on documentation, structure, and consistency rather than improvisation. People who thrive here are steady under pressure, follow through without being chased, and take ownership when something goes wrong. We'd rather a candidate self-select out now than discover this isn't the right fit three weeks in.
What You'll Do, Essential Functions:
manage end-to-end recruitment, posting and maintaining job openings in JazzHR, screening resumes, scheduling and helping conduct interviews, and maintaining interview scorecards; run new-hire onboarding, assembling offer packets, routing documents through Google eSignature, and confirming systems such as Gusto, Google Drive, Abyde
HIPAA/OSHA
training, and Dentrix Ascend access are set up before a new hire's first day; maintain compliance documentation, including I-9 verification within legal deadlines, background checks through Checkr, and
HIPAA/OSHA
training records in Abyde; support day-to-day employee relations by maintaining accurate records in Gusto, documenting performance conversations, and escalating issues through the proper chain of command; assist with offboarding procedures, including timely access removal across HR systems; and keep HR documentation current and organized in Google Drive. What We're Looking For. We screen first for four things: grit, sustaining performance under pressure; reliability, on time means early; coachability, taking feedback without defensiveness; and professionalism, composed and consistent even through disagreement. Prior HR, administrative, or office-coordination experience is preferred, but we care more about demonstrated reliability and judgment than a specific credential. You should be comfortable learning multiple software systems, since we'll train you on ours. Strong written communication matters, since documentation is central to this role. You should be available for a full, consistent weekly schedule. HR coursework, a degree, or a certification such as aPHR or SHRM-CP is a plus but not required. This role requires consistent, full-time, on-site attendance on a set weekly schedule. Please apply only if you can reliably commit to that schedule. Compensation and Status. $18.00 per hour, full-time. This is a Non-Exempt, hourly position under the FLSA, so hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek are paid at 1.5x the regular rate. Employees are eligible for discounted in-house dental care, excluding lab fees, after eligibility requirements are met.
